Officially, the medical properties of Borjomi water began to be used in the XIX century, when investments were attracted to the gorge. In 1890, an enterprise of bottling mineral waters was built here and building of holiday homes was launched. But the healing properties of the waters were known long before the official conclusion - as a result of archaeological excavations at the beginning of the 20th century when stone baths dating from the 1st century AD were discovered on the territory of the Borjomi gorge.
Hotel and its health-improving complex «Borjomis Kheoba» is located in the heart of the resort. It combines old traditions and modern medical technologies. The source of mineral water, located on the territory of the complex, is one of the first in the gorge and dates back to the XIX century.
