City of contrasts Tbilisi

1 day

Tbilisi is the economic, cultural, political and social heart of Georgia. It is where Georgians gravitate when they seek excitement and action, where history comes alive in a dramatic hillside setting and where ancient Eurasian crossroads meet a modern city looking forward to the future. The capital is gaining a new dimension as its cultural scene grows, prestigious new building projects develop and more and more restaurants, shops and leisure facilities move in. The beating heart of the region, Tbilisi should not be missed by any traveler to the Caucasus.

Let’s begin acquainting with Georgian capital - Tbilisi! You will visit Trinity Cathedral - the third largest in the world among Orthodox churches. You will have chance to see majestic Metekhi Temple in the heart of Old Tbilisi. According to legend, Queen Tamara prayed here.

Using aerial cable car we will get up to  Narikala fortress - "Heart and Soul of Tbilisi". The fortress rises on the mountain top, offering magnificent view of the city. On descending from the citadel, we immediately get in the streets of the Old City. Here we will pass under the balconies leading to the canyon, where you'll admire waterfall.

Let's look at the oldest region of Sulphur Baths -  Abanotubani, where in the midst of the squat domes the majestic Motley Bath towers over the vicinity. We stroll down the old streets, reaching the most ancient building -  Anchiskhati Temple (VI century). Finish our fabulous journey near the old tower with a clock where the angel with blowing to the bell informs us about lunch time.

After receiving a lot of impressions, return to the hotel. Free time.

In the evening on  Dinner (for an additional fee - 25 USD per pax), we will visit the Georgian restaurant, where, in addition to the diverse Georgian cuisine, the dancers with incendiary dances await us with wine and chacha!
