So our way lies to mountainous Adjara! Having travelled just 10-15 kilometres far from noisy Batumi, we will find ourselves in unique, unforgettable, untouched by civilization nature. Admire merging of two rivers - Chorokhi and Adjaristskali.
Makhuntseti waterfall. On approaching it, you will not see it at first, but just hear the melody of falling mountain water. This natural beauty fascinates more and more... Do not forget to take your swimsuits to freshen up yourself. The water is crystal clear and fairly warm.
Queen Tamara’s arch bridge. In Adjara, in general, there are about 25 arch bridges surviving to this day, but this one is considered to be one of the largest. It is built of rock stones, glued up by calcareous solution, what causes surprise with its compactness and clarity. This is really a grandiose example of Georgian engineering.
In the valleys of rivers Chorokhi and Adjaristskali, on mountain slopes there are small villages. In this sunny region with purest air and richest vegetation, local people grow first-class varieties of grapes and make wines of amazing taste and aroma.
A local winemaker is waiting for us to show his possessions and invites us for delicious dinner. (optional for an additional fee 15 USD).
