Prometheus Cave - a breathtaking underground journey!
This cave being the largest in Georgia, is one of the main attractions in Imereti. This cave is unrealistically great, and although only tenth part of it is open to tourists, the walk along it takes about an hour.
The route passes by breathtaking stalactites and stalagmites, underground waterfalls, rivers and even a whole lake. A magical sensation is added by a system of multi-colored underground lighting based on liquid crystal lamps and constantly playing classical music, which makes route even more attractive and memorable. The length of tourist route is 1600 m at a depth of 80 m below sea level. The temperature in the cave all the year round is constant +14 Celsius degrees.
Okatse Canyon - walk above the trees!
A trip to Okatse canyon attracts large number of visitors due to delightful wild and untouched civilization of nature.
Along rocks in Okatse River gorge, at an altitude of 140 m above ground, a hiking trail is made (bridges and balconies). The length of the trail is 780 meters. Where else can you walk along the precipice at the height of 50-storey building?
Currently this canyon is one of the most popular natural attractions of the country!
The next stop - Kinchkha waterfall.
Kinchkha is one of the highest waterfalls in the country, admiring with its beauty and strength. You will reach him along the path admiring picturesque views of canyon and its environs.
According to local residents, in spring, during snow thawing, waterfalls multiply and they all look alike. In summer, however, we can admire just one large - about 100 meter high and several small ones up to 20 meters.
Falling into river and washing white stones, waterfalls form lake with crystal clear and slightly cool water, where local residents and visitors bathe with great pleasure.
