City of contrasts Tbilisi

1 day

Tbilisi is the economic, cultural, political and social heart of Georgia. It is where Georgians gravitate when they seek excitement and action, where history comes alive in a dramatic hillside setting and where ancient Eurasian crossroads meet a modern city looking forward to the future. The capital is gaining a new dimension as its cultural scene grows, prestigious new building projects develop and more and more restaurants, shops and leisure facilities move in. The beating heart of the region, Tbilisi should not be missed by any traveler to the Caucasus.

We are starting to get acquainted with the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. We will get up with cable car to the Narikala fortress, this is “the soul and heart of Tbilisi”. The fortress rises on top of the mountain, from where a magnificent view of the city opens. Moving down from Narikala we will get into the charming streets of the Old Town. Heading to the oldest district of the sulphur baths of Abanotubani.

The Chronicle of Georgia, also called History Memorial of Georgia is one of the hidden gems of Tbilisi. Not at all a popular tourist spot, but definitely one of the impressive. Located near the Tbilisi sea (it's a water reservoir actually) this place not only tells history of Georgia, but gives really spectacular views to surrounding vicinity. And impresses of it's size.

Also on the way we’ll have stop in the Gardenia Shevardnadze secret garden, a place that combines a creative workshop, a nice cafe, a chic garden and a botanical shop. This is the quintessence of the spirit of Tbilisi. ( Opon your wish on own expense you will have opportunity to drink coffy there and  bit relax).

In evening for additional fee (25 USD) you have possibility for dinner visit Georgian restaurant with evening show program with Georgian songs and dances!
