In this tour you will have the opportunity to get acquainted with handicrafts made in Georgia! You will see - the capital of Georgia Tbilisi, meet representatives of the Craft Association, you will try your hand at Georgian food master class, find out how silk is made, get acquainted with winemaking traditions, see the local felt gallery, visit and participate in ceramics master classes, and have lots of other adventures!

2  DAY

Tbilisi City Tour - Tbilisi tour begins with magnificent Sameba Cathedral, which is the third biggest Orthodox temple in the world. Visit Metekhi Temple on the mountain, where proudly is sitting on the horse and welcoming all the guests the founder of the city - king Vakhtang Gorgasali. Rise on cable cars to Narikala fortress - heart and soul of old Tbilisi, where can be offered beautiful city panoramic views. Going down Narikala fortress, we get in Tbilisi old streets leading us to the ravine, to the picturesque waterfall. Let’s look into the oldest Tbilisi part -  Abanotubani - the district of Sulphur baths. Walk down the shady streets of old Tbilisi till the oldest building of the city - Anchiskhati Church. (VI century). Tbilisi trip will be finished by the old tower with clock.

Visit to “Papanaki” – here you can have a look at the process of making Georgian National Costumes, you will also get some information about the costumes and will have a chance to take some beautiful photos in Georgian National Costumes.

Dinner at the restaurant – tasting Georgian national cuisine, wine and taking pleasure from Georgian music and dances.

3 DAY- Tbilisi

Visit to Georgian Craft Association – You will meet the representatives of the association and get some interesting information about the crafts in Georgia from the masters.

Visit to the Museum – You will be able to meet a group of Embroiders, who work on different types of embroidery. You will also see some works on the spot and learn interesting facts about them and embroidery techniques.

Masterclass in making some Georgian dishes. You will take part in the process of cooking and will taste the food afterwards.

DAY - Kakheti

On the way to Sighnaghi you will have a look at the process of baking Georgian National Bread called “Tonis Puri” – bread is baked in a clay pot which is heated with some wood inside. (Tone means Clay pot and Puri – Bread).

Tour around Sighnaghi “City of Love”.

While walking around the city you will see some handmade craft spots where you can have a close look at them and have a chance to buy some if you like.

Transfer to village Magharo – here you will visit a local family, that has Silk Worms and produces silk on their own. They will show and tell you some interesting facts about worms, silk and making process.

Dinner at the family with delicious food, wine, Chacha – Georgian Vodka and a lot of fun.

5 DAY- Kakheti

Visit to a Wine Factory “Shumi” – Hosts at the factory will introduce you to the techniques of making Wine. You will also have a chance to take pleasure from tasting some delicious world-famous Georgian Wine.

Visit to Workshop “Tushuri Pardagi” (Tushetian Rug) – The workshop is located in a Traditional 19 th century house, where the visitors can see (if they wish buy them as well) wool crafts items produced by the employees of this small enterprise. The display on the second floor of the house shows the loom, the dyeing equipment and natural plants used in the process. The showroom offers the variety of rugs and carpets and needle knitted traditional goods. Visitors can take part in the wool carding and natural dyeing, yarn spinning, felting, rug weaving and Chiti (traditional slipper) knitting processes.

The old wine cellar arranged on the first floor “Grandpa Zurabo’s wine cellar” offers wine and other beverage tasting to the visitors. You will also be able to taste some delicious Tushetian dishes.

6 DAY– Ananuri – Gudauri - Kazbegi

Ananuri Fortress - Ananuri is a fortress situated on the foreland by the Aragvi River, not far from Zhinvali water reservoir and about 70 km from Tbilisi, Georgia. It was built by the Dukes of Aragvi and its earliest parts date from the 13th century. The fortress is on the UNESCO Tentative list.

Gudauri Friendship Monument - monument is a circular balcony hanging off of a 600 meters cliff with amazing views of Caucasus Mountains.

Kazbegi - Gergeti Trinity Church - The ancient church, dating from the 14th century, stands at an elevation of 2170 meters, overlooking the small town of Stephantsminda, also referred to as Kazbegi, in the North of the country. Apart from its religious purpose, the medieval church used to serve as a hiding place. During invasions at different times in Georgia's history the national treasure was hidden there, since it was hardly reachable for enemies.

Visit to Felt Craft Gallery in Kazbegi – here you will see some pieces made of felt and learn about the techniques of making Georgian Felt.

7 DAY- Tbilisi

Visit to the Ceramics workshop – You will be able to take part in workshop, learn about the basic points of making ceramic items and paint them according to your wishes.

Relaxing evening in Sulphur Baths in Abanotubani – Abanotubani located at the foot of Narikala Fortress, is an important historic part of the city — the place, where according to a legend the King of Iberia, Vakhtang Gorgasali’s falcon fell, leading to a discovery of the hot springs and, subsequently, to founding of a new capital. Sulfur water is the central part of the baths. It is famous for its healing effect and is appreciated by lots of people.

DAY – Mtskheta - Uplistsikhe

Mtskheta City – The first Capital City of Georgia. Here you will have a look at Svetitskhoveli Cathedral which in translation means “Pillar of Life-giving”, the greatest shrine of the Christian world is buried here - The tunic of Jesus Christ. Jvari Monastery that is built on the top of the mountain from where you will see a stunning picture of the confluence of two rivers - the Kura and Aragvi. This is the first Georgian site inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List and dated to 545.

A visit to the Enamel Workshop on the way to Uplistsikhe – You will learn about the history of Georgian Enamel Making (In Georgian Enamel is called Minankari); Have a look at the process of working and see some works as well.

Uplistsikhe Cave Town – One of the unique places in Georgia that was curved from the rocks more than 3000 years ago.
